From NYC to London to San Francisco, and everything I can fit in between. On a scavenger hunt to suss out the subtle differences and choice trivia that define each place–the more-than-meets-the-eye. A walker more than a traveler; a nester more than a nomad. Interested more in the people who make a place what it is, than in the place itself.
I do sightseeing by osmosis. Before going anywhere, I read the guidebook cover-to-cover; once I’m there, I set out in whichever direction and see where I end up. Travel blogging for nearly two years now has trained me to be more adventurous than I might otherwise be. Every day is what you make of it!
The inspiration for this blog comes from a favorite quote by Eudora Welty:
It is our inward journey that leads us through time—forward or back, seldom in a straight line, most often spiraling. Each of us is moving, changing, with respect to others. As we discover, we remember; remembering, we discover; and most intensely do we experience this when our separate journeys converge.
Eudora Welty, One Writer’s Beginnings
I hope you’ll come along for the ride. I promise to keep this blog as short, sweet and jealousy-inducing as possible!
